Today at the Aptiv garden, we picked tomatoes, eggplants, squash, broccoli, and beans, with chard, kale, and spinach ready for you to pick. Check the garden stand under the tree or pick what you need. We will pick up what's not taken from the stand Saturday around noon (when it's going to be 80°+!)
The City Hall garden is also still producing. Tuesday we found tomatoes*, peppers, eggplants, summer squash, broccoli, a little chard and kale, and green beans. A few tromboncino squash (thank you, Council President Dickenson!) are working their way to maturity in a few weeks, too. Things are a bit dry there, but we hope to fix that soon.
Once we do get a killing frost, we'll clean out most of the plants. Until then, pick what your family needs.
*Green tomatoes are wonderful and versatile! Check out these green tomato recipes from Rural Sprout.
