Thank you, students!

Thank you, students from UWL Prof. Alysa Remsburg's class - Food, Culture, and the Environment - who took the bus to the City Hall garden on Tuesday morning to help week and clean up the garden! Dr. Remsburg is a garden volunteer who has shared the garden with several classes over the years.

The students were fantastic, pulling weeds from paths and beds and digging, pulling, and picking veggies, too. They even found a few garlic bulbs missed during the harvest earlier this summer.

We are still getting eggplants, peppers, tomatoes, beans  broccoli, summer squash, kale, and cucumbers, so cleaning out beds should help the plants that are still producing continue. 

The Aptiv garden is also producing, including late crops of spinach and kale. At Aptiv l, we will have several winter squash to pick, too.
